Home Cold Home.

So I am back in rainy Vancouver. Somehow, my entire trip just seemed like a vivid dream. It's hard to believe that just less than 24 hours ago I was laying on the beach, and swimming in a gorgeous turquoise ocean.
When I was in Hawaii it felt like I was there for so much longer than 10 days -I was totally ready to come home- but now that I am back, I'm not too sure it was enough time. Despite a few things that anchor my heart in this portion of the Pacific, I have realized that I am completely nomadic. I wish I could have explored more of the islands and done a few more things (don't get me wrong, I am not complaining in the slightest) and seen a few more things.

But anyways, I am back home, the flight was fine, other than 3 screaming children sitting behind me. When I say screaming, I really mean, bloodcurdling-ear drum popping-fingernails dug-screeching. It was horrible and finally I got up and asked them why they were screaming. That shut them up for awhile. I'm sure the entire plan was grateful.

The most exciting part of coming home, is the knowledge of all the mountains being open. That means SNOWBOARDING!!! Ee! I am pretty excited! I'm going to rip it up! :)

Well here are a few more pictures from my trip!
Enjoy! <3

Honu

Today I saw a turtle. No, not just saw, SWAM with! Yes..it was the most incredible experience ever. I was just hanging out in the water with my floaty and BAM! There he is...I followed him around for like 15 min. and enjoyed every milisecond of it. He even hung out by my feet eating away at the coral! Man how I wish I had my underwater camera with me, but oh well. He was very large too, at least 4 feet and he was probably the cutest thing I have ever seen! (sorry babies and puppies, this one takes the cake!)

Other than that Hawaii has been awesome. I love the sun, the water and the hot weather. I'm starting to feel a little home sick. I don't know why, I think it's because I miss my dog...
I still talk to everyone every day (my hotel has free calling to Canada....SO awesome!) but it some how is different being thousands of kms away. Well, I don't have many days left here...So I might as well make the most of them!

The last couple of days I have been playing in the sand, building and sculpting. This sea turtle was apparently the hit of the beach after I left. Lot's of people were taking pictures! Anyways...I'm off!

Fishies Galore!

Aloha!

Today my travels took me to Hanauma Bay for a nice snorkeling adventure! It was the first time that I had ever gone snorkeling so it was a little bit frightening for me. But after I got to the whole "controlled" breathing thing, I was fine. I was mostly scared of touching the coral and the reef. At times I had to, but I had to go against everything that I was ever taught and heard. I sure as heck didn't want to ruin their "home"! Anyways, I got to see some crazy cool fish! I don't have any pictures to share of the actual fish, simply because I had to use a FILM underwater camera. I haven't used one of those in over 10 years, so we will see how they turned out!

Hanauma Bay is GORGEOUS! It's quite literally the crater of a volcano that filled with water and then turned into a bay. Here are a few pictures of the bay itself!

We also found a fresh coconut (the locals tell me it's rare to find one, so I felt incredible lucky.) We had one heck of a time trying to get it open. But in the end it was worth it! It tasted so sweet and delicious!
I didn't get to see a sea turtle so my hunt continues. It seems like everyone except for me has seen one! *sob*

Oh well, We are still going to the North Shore, and that is supposed to be a good spot for them!
Cross your fingers!

Enjoy<3

Aloha kakahiaka aku!!

Aloha!

It's hard to believe that I've ONLY been in Hawaii for only like 2.5 days! It feels like it's been at least a week or so. I've already done so much including catamaraning, surfing, and exploring! I've built up a pretty solid base tan and I'm ready to start browning now! Yesterday when I was on the catamaran I saw a school of flying fish! It was SO SO SO cool! I wish I had somehow snapped a photo but they were too quick and I was far too mesmerized by them! Speaking of sea life, I was on the beach just resting and a little ghost crab decided to make an appearance right beside me. He was quite cute but also frightening because at times he would hop sideways.

Other than that there's the daily wandering around the Waikiki strip. I'm not a big shopper so nothing really interests me that much.

On Sunday and today I went surfing..sunday was AWESOME. I got up all but 2 out of 10 times! Today...uhhh not so much. The waves were infrequent and tough. Plus I was on a new board and apparently that one didn't suit me quite well. Oh well! There is always tomorrow :)

Aside from that not much to tell. The weather is gorgeous as usual, as are the sunsets!
Here are some more pictures!

Aloha!!!

So I arrived in amazing Hawaii last night at around 11pm (hawaii time...1am Vancouver time) and getting off the plane I was greeted by the lovely warm humid air! I LOVE IT! My hotel is beach front, so I am literally RIGHT on the beach pretty much all of the time. Today I went surfing and swimming in the wonderful clear blue water. I managed to get a pretty sweet coral wound as well! Go me!
Here are a few pics...
I'll update more as the week goes on!
<3

This is what I step out on to every morning!

My war wound! I was in the water 15 min and already got hurt!

Early morning sun!

The view from my hotel room! <3

I LOVE Hawaii!

Leaves, Fall and Halls :)

A family I know from back in the day wanted some family photos done, so of course I had to say yes! They are the cutest kids (the parents aren't too bad themselves =) ) Anyways, here are a few teaser pictures of the kids. I have a little bit more editing to do with the others, but like I said here's a preview!
Enjoy!♥
